Comtech Enterprise Technologies Promotes Skip Hines to Chief Technology Officer

Jay Whitehurst
President at Comtech Enterprise Technologies

We are incredibly excited to announce that Skip Hines has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Enterprise Technologies group. We have been lucky enough to have had Skip working with our team for 17 years and are excited that he will now lead the technology aspects of our group, aligning them with the established business goals and ensuring they are used efficiently, profitably and securely.

Skip has contributed a great deal to our group over the years. He helped build our location-based solutions, including our foundational infrastructure, carrier positioning, IoT positioning, emergency routing services, and intellectual property portfolio. As we navigate through complicated and challenging technical and research issues, while further developing and scaling our virtualized Location-based services platform, Skip brings a wealth of experience and a strong understanding of business directed innovation, essential for growing our future products.

As part of his CTO role and in consideration of Skip’s unique skill set, he will coordinate with product, engineering, and operation teams, each of which will continue to be led by strong functional leaders.

“This is an exciting time for Comtech Enterprise Technologies and having someone with Skip’s knowledge and expertise lead the technical strategy, is instrumental for our continued growth,” said Jay Whitehurst, President, Comtech Enterprise Technologies. “I cannot think of a better person to lead our company’s technical strategy and execution.”
