MELVILLE, N.Y. –
October 8, 2018– Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq: CMTL)
announced today, that during its first quarter of fiscal 2019, its
Enterprise Technologies group, which is part of Comtech’s Commercial
Solutions segment has received a multi-year $1.9 million order from a
top U.S. telecom service provider for hosted data assistance services
that will further enable the delivery of value-added location-based
services.
“With our hosted data assistance systems, service providers have access
to location-optimized information to support Comtech services and
applications, thereby reducing impact of high capacity transactions on
their network,” said Fred Kornberg, President and CEO of Comtech
Telecommunications Corp. “This creates a number of opportunities to add
the benefit of location-based
services without effecting subscriber experience and throttling the
need for additional capacity for the service provider. We’re looking
forward to adding this service to an already successful, long-standing
customer relationship.”
