Cloud-native call handling platform enters agency deployment as NG9-1-1 modernization accelerates
CHANDLER, Ariz. – June 18, 2026– Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ: CMTL) (“Comtech” or the “Company”), a global communications technology leader, today announced the availability of Allerium Mira, its cloud-native call handling platform purpose-built to support the evolving demands of Next Generation 9-1-1 (“NG9-1-1”) emergency communications.
Following its introduction last year, Mira is now entering agency environments as public safety organizations evaluate next-generation approaches to handling voice, text to 9-1-1, and future communication workflows. Emergency Communications Centers (“ECCs”) are increasingly seeking platforms designed to reduce operational complexity, improve flexibility, and support the long-term modernization of NG9-1-1 services as they continue transitioning from voice-centric environments to more dynamic, multi-channel response environments.
“Emergency communications have transformed dramatically, but many call handling environments are still based on workflows intended for another era,” said Nora Ligrani, Product Management Director at Allerium. “Mira was developed to modernize that experience with a platform that is flexible, intuitive, and capable of evolving with the changing needs of public safety.”
Powered by a cloud-native, microservices-based architecture that enables independent scaling and continuous innovation, Mira is deployable across shared, private, hybrid, or edge environments based on operational and regulatory requirements. The platform supports the continued modernization of NG9-1-1 networks and emerging communication models while providing agencies with a more streamlined and adaptable call handling experience optimized to reduce friction in high-pressure environments.
Integrated with Allerium’s broader Next Generation Core Services (“NGCS”) and Emergency Services Internet Protocol Network (“ESInet”) environment, Mira amplifies the call handling experience to align with the intelligence and resiliency of modern emergency communications networks – creating a more connected operational environment for agencies.
Early agency evaluation and implementation activities for Allerium Mira are focused on validating operational workflows, deployment flexibility, interoperability with existing public safety technologies, scalability, and the overall user experience within real-world emergency communications environments as part of broader NG9-1-1 modernization initiatives.
“The transition to NG9-1-1 is about far more than replacing legacy infrastructure,” said Jeff Robertson, President of Allerium. “It’s about creating a more adaptable, connected, and intelligent foundation for how emergency communications operate moving forward. Mira represents an important step in that evolution – giving agencies a modern platform built not just for where public safety is today, but for where it’s headed next.”
The availability of Allerium Mira marks another milestone in Allerium’s continued investment in the future of mission-critical communications – helping public safety agencies transition toward more connected, flexible, and resilient NG9-1-1 environments. Mira will be featured at the NENA 2026 Conference & Expo taking place June 29-30 in Columbus, Ohio.
