Building Connections That Set Ideas Free
As part of our ongoing series, “Meet the Chief,” Signals took the opportunity to sit down with one of Comtech’s Chief Strategy Officers, Daniel Gizinski, to talk about his role at Comtech and the future of communication technology in the defense industry.
Cybersecurity must be built into the core culture of an organization if it’s going to successfully protect against increasingly sophisticated threats and support the ongoing convergence of global communications infrastructures.
The secret to success, according to Comtech’s Chief Strategy Officer – Defense, Daniel Gizinski, is approaching cyber protection a lot like your daily morning hygiene routine.
Just 30 days into his tenure as Comtech’s CEO, Ken Peterman announced two key initiatives: the first was the appointment of Anirban Chakraborty as the company’s first Chief Growth Officer, and the second was the launch of EVOKE, Comtech’s new Innovation Foundry, which is overseen directly by Anirban.
As part of our ongoing series, “Meet the Chief,” Signals took the opportunity to sit down with the newly appointed Comtech Chief Legal Officer, Don Walther, to talk about his role at Comtech and how his legal strategy will drive Comtech’s cutting-edge developments in communications technology.
As part of our ongoing series, “Meet the Chief”, Signals took the opportunity to sit down with Comtech’s Chief People Officer, Jennie Reilly, to talk about her People First strategy.
Today, we are celebrating Veterans Day, and the final day of our first annual company-wide Honor Week to recognize those Comtech staff members who are Veterans. As a part of Honor Week, our whole company is sharing appreciation for our former service members in various ways. Each day of the week, Comtech has recognized a different military branch by encouraging employees to wear the branch’s colors and educating our non-Veteran employees on the rich history of each division of the U.S. military.
Earlier this month, Comtech sponsored America’s Future Series “Cyber, Land, Air, Sea, and Space” (or, CLASS) Summit. During the two-day CLASS Summit, Comtech CEO Ken Peterman joined leaders from both government and the private sector – including General John Hyten, General (Ret) David Petraeus, and Jeff Bezos – to discuss policies, practices, solutions, and challenges as they relate to US global competitiveness and national security.
It’s that time of year! During the holidays, there’s nothing better than cozying up by the fireplace with a good book. If you’re traveling to visit friends and family or for fun, a book can help time spent traveling fly by, and once you get to your destination, reading is a great way to unwind (while working on your tan or avoiding your least favorite relative). In case you’re looking for something to read this holiday season, we asked Comtech’s CEO to share his favorite books on leadership and business.
I am thrilled to share that we have taken the next step in our transformational work towards a One Comtech, which includes, among many fantastic changes, our new mission. At Comtech, we are in a relentless pursuit of a better way – empowering people by connecting everything and everyone.
As part of our People First strategy, Comtech is passionate about engaging with our employees at every level and acknowledging their hard work both at work and on their personal time, including their volunteer activities. In Декабрь, Comtech introduced the first annual “Above and Beyond” award, which was developed to honor Comtech employees who consistently demonstrate an unyielding dedication to their community through their time, actions, talents, and service.
This Январь, Daniel Gizinski, Comtech’s Chief Strategy Officer – Defense, and Richard Swardh, Comtech’s Senior Vice President of Premium Enterprise and Mobile Operations, spoke at the annual Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) conference to detail Comtech’s mission to connect the unconnected, democratize access to communications technologies, and empower people around the world with assured, ubiquitous connectivity.
The world today is transforming to embrace a new era of machine, human, and digital coexistence, which has the potential to bring incredible benefits to businesses, governments, communities, and individuals across the globe.
There are a few elements that are core to realizing the full benefits of this societal shift, and equal access to connectivity sits at the center. While access to communications technologies is continuing to expand, there is still a significant portion of the global population that remains disconnected.
Public safety agencies around the world are moving to Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) IP-based networks and call-handling equipment, significantly enhancing their response and decision-making capabilities during stressful emergency situations. Through the power of these NG9-1-1 networks, Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) —the centers that receive and handle 9-1-1 calls—and other first responders can now receive and share important information previously unavailable via traditional 9-1-1 services.
Today, Comtech’s Troposcatter technologies provide a significant communications advantage in nearly every environment imaginable. As private and public sectors look to modernize and enhance communications infrastructures with thoroughly proven and inherently secure technology, Comtech’s Troposcatter Family of Systems (FoS) are uniquely positioned to deliver resilient, software-defined connectivity when and where it matters most.
