Get More-Accurate Location Data for Wireless Calls

The Guardian 9-1-1 Call Handling solution includes a powerful feature that allows it to query third-party databases to access device-based location from smartphones during 9-1-1 calls. This information is then provided to call takers on the Guardian 9-1-1 Call Handling screen and is also available on the Guardian Map screen.

Currently, the Guardian 9-1-1 Call Handling solution can be configured to query the NG911 services such as those offered by RapidSOS for device-based location data.

Manage Calls With Map-Based Control

To optimize the use of geo-location data, Guardian Map uses advanced mapping capabilities and an icon-based user interface that allow call takers to view the 3D location and status of all 9-1-1 calls at a glance. Icons on the map indicate call status and identify 9-1-1 calls as:

This advanced 3D location mapping application differentiates between answered calls, abandoned calls, and ringing calls. And for maximum flexibility, call takers can quickly interact with mapped calls using touch map navigation, as well as mouse and keyboard controls.
